Summary[edit]

Description
English: Polish fascists and neo-Nazis in Ireland are organising a meeting tomorrow with a far-right, homophobic political organiser at the Academy Plaza Hotel on Findlater Place off O'Connell Street.

We are calling for a peaceful picket to highlight the presence of Polish extreme right and fascist politicians in our city - a no go area for fascists. The fascist meeting is due to commence at 7pm.

Marian Kowalski, the Presidential candidate for Ruch Narodowy (National Movement) is set to debate independent candidate Grzegorz Braun, a Euroscpetic with strongly Christian views.

The meeting is being organised by Narodowy Cork:

-- Organisation of right-wing Poles living in Ireland.

-- They are the Irish branch of Ruch Narodowy (National Movement), a far-right and extremely homophobic party made up of an alliance of two fascist groups - ONR (National Radical Camp) and MW (Commonpolish Youth).

-- Main organisers of the 11th November "Independence March" in Poland which is the largest far-right gathering in Poland.

The main speaker is Marian Kowalski:

-- One of the leaders of Ruch Narodowy.

-- Former football hooligan. Works as a doorman and gym instructor. Currently up on charges for assault against a customer at his work

-- Press officer of neo-Nazi ONR (National Radical Camp)

-- Ran unsuccessfully for Ruch Narodowy in the 2014 Election in the city of Lubin receiving 5,700 votes. He is running in the 2015 presidential election.

      • Important note***

This is an event which seeks support from all people and organisations that oppose the development of fascist organisation in Dublin. LookLeft magazine is hosting this event page but the demonstration is controlled by no political group, party or individuals.

Protesters are asked to not congregate outside the hotel until after 6.20. Protesters should bring along whatever placards, political and trade union banners they feel appropriate.

United we stand with the message that Dublin welcomes migrants but will never tolerate fascism.
