Summary[edit]
DescriptionRCA's microwave link on top of the Helsinki Olympic Stadium Tower (21709331051).jpg |
RCA's microwave link was situated on top of the Olympic Stadium Tower and directed towards Palace Hotel in Helsinki. The studio equipment was located in the Radio House (Fabianinkatu). The programs were transferred by coaxial cable to a RCA's microwave link on the roof of the Palace Hotel and from there using a 7 Ghz frequency to Yleisradio's link on top of the Olympic Stadium Tower. This was "closed circuit-TV" (CCTV). The TV-transmitter and antenna were also installed in the Olympic Stadium Tower. Photo: Pentti Pesari/Yle. Yleisradion RCA:n mikroaaltolinkki Olympiastadionin tornissa Helsingissä. Linkki on suunnattu kohti Hotelli Palacea. Yleisradion Fabianinkadun radiotalossa tehtävät tv-ohjelmat siirrettiin koaksiaalikaapeleita pitkin Hotelli Palacen katolla sijaitsevaan RCA:n mikroaaltolinkkiin, joka sitten välitti 7 GHz:n taajuudella ohjelman tähän Olympiastadionin tornin linkkiin. Yleisradion tv-lähetin ja antenni olivat myös Stadionin tornissa. Tiedätkö jotain tästä kuvasta?
