Entsprechend froh war ich, ihn endlich mal treffen zu können. Wir reden über El Niño (Spiegel-Titel), den äquatorialer Pazifik, die Galapagosinseln, La Niña, den Warm Pool, Passatwinde und wagen eine grobe Wettervorhersage für den Winter 2015/2016 - aber sicher sind wir nicht, denn Vorhersagen auf Grundlage nur des El Niño sind schwierig, alleine schon wegen der nordatlantischen Oszillation. Man braucht Supercomputer (siehe RES061), die rechnen zwar in Gigaflops und Petaflops und trotzdem dauert 100 Jahre Klimarechnen mehrere Monate. Wir reden über die Energiewende, fossile Brennstoffe, die kleine Eiszeit, die mittelalterliche Warmzeit, über zentralistische Stromversorgung, BWL, die AKW-Laufzeitverlängerung, das Max Planck Institut für Meteorologie, Klimaforschung, Wetter, Klima, das Deutsche Klimakonsortium (mit den drei Themen Klima verstehen - mit Klimarisiken umgehen - Klimaforschung in der Gesellschaft), den indischen Monsun, Bodenfeuchte (siehe auch RES057), die G7-Gipfel, Schmelzwasserereignisse, Schelfeis, den Ozean der Zukunft, „das andere Klimaproblem“ (die Versauerung der Meere durch CO2) und den Klimawald. |
