Summary[edit]

Description
English: Royal Navy officers onboard HMS Westminster serving sailors their Christmas dinner as is traditional.

Whilst conducting maritime security patrols in the Indian Ocean, HMS Westminster went festive for the day enjoying a traditional Christmas roast whilst at sea. The Christmas festivities saw all members of the Ship's Company sit down for a full spread of Christmas which on a Warship at sea is traditionally served up by the Officers. With the Commanding Officer of HMS Westminster, Captain Hugh Beard RN carving the selection of meats on offer, the rest of the Ship's company enjoyed a hearty feast set out before them.

HMS Westminster continued her patrols of the Indian Ocean and Gulf region and will return to the Uk in February 2014.
