Summary

[edit]
Description Photo of the ladies' lounge of the Santa Fe passenger train "The Scout". The train was considered an "economy class" type which traveled between Chicago and California. Trains like "The Chief" and "Super Chief" were classed as deluxe trains.
Date No date indicated on brochure; seller dates it as 1937 and this appears correct. The train was off the rails from 1931 to 1936 due to a lack of travel caused by the Depression. When its service continued in 1936, the train had been re-done and modernized. The train left service for good in 1948.
