Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeattle - Maynard & Terry-Denny Buildings.jpg |
The Maynard and Terry-Denny Buildings, Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, 119 First Avenue South and 109 First Avenue South, respectively. The Maynard Building was originally (1892) the Dexter Horton Building (a name that was later preempted by a 1920s office building a few blocks away), home to the Dexter Horton Bank, one of the banks that eventually merged to form Seattle First National Bank (Seafirst), and were eventually absorbed into the Bank of America. The Terry-Denny building (1891) is also known as the Northern Hotel Building. See Summary for 119 1st AVE / Parcel ID 5247800035, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods (for Maynard Building) and Summary for 109 1st AVE / Parcel ID 5247800041, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods (for Terry-Denny Building) for more discussion of the buildings. These are the correct buildings, even though they accidentally omitted "South" from the addresses. |
