The anti-submarine campaign in 1917 In the Med-iterranean was being handled by the Navies of fournations; England, France, Italy, and Japan. Thearrival of the U. S. ships at Gibraltar Introduced afifth combatant. The American vessels worked inunison with the British vessels at Gibraltar, butother than this there was little cooperation.
