Slovenščina: Kranjska čebela je po izvoru iz Slovenije, po zaslugi trgovine s čebelami pa je danes razširjena po vseh kontinentih in je druga najbolj razširjena čebelja podvrsta na svetu, takoj za italijansko Apis mellifera ligustica. Kranjska čebela je poznana po mirnosti, delavnosti in odlični orientaciji. Število čistopasemskih matic v rodovniški knjigi je več kot 40.000. Glavna grožnja kranjske čebele so zajedavske pršice varoje, ogrožajo pa jo tudi intenzivno kmetijstvo s fitofarmacevtskimi sredstvi in klimatske spremembe s sušnimi poletji, ko presahnejo naravni viri čebelje hrane. Prvotno so čebele gojili zaradi medu in voska. Danes so najosnovnejši izdelki med, cvetni prah, matični mleček, propolis in čebelji vosek, nepogrešljive pa so pri opraševanju rastlin. |
