Description
Nederlands: GIESSEN - Het is voorbij met de grauwheid in de tunnel onder de N322 bij Giessen. Met een berg aandacht en liefde maakten diverse street art kunstenaars er vandaag een prachtige muurschildering op de wanden.

Het is zeker geen graffiti, deze schilderingen horen onder de noemer street art. De stichting Getting Up realiseerde de street art in samenwerking met de gemeente Woudrichem. Wethouder Renze Bergsma, die zelf ook nog even de verfspuitbus ter hand nam, noemde de tunnel voor de make-over somber en slordig. De ontwerpen van de schilderingen zijn wel eerst nog langs de gemeente gegaan ter goedkeuring, Bergsma vond ze geweldig gaaf. Er zitten veel beeldbepalende elementen uit Giessen en Andel in zoals het fort en de Romboutstoren. Al met al is er een heel kleurrijk geheel ontstaan.

De street art zal niet snel met graffiti overgespoten kunnen worden, de schilderingen zijn namelijk voorzien van een beschermende vernislaag.
