English: Studies of soldiers in a cartouche representing coastal defence The group includes marching men with rifles, bicycle dispatch riders and an officer on horseback. Behind is a coastal fortification with a turret gun and huts. Below the cartouche is a ribbon to take a formal title, not filled in.
