Description
Deutsch: Bis 2005 stand hier die »kleine Funkenburg«. Abebrochen wurde das Gebäude nicht für den Mühlgraben, sondern um die Straße zu verbreitern. Einer der für Leipzig typischen Siege der Kraftfahrlobby. Der Wasserstand ist zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt besonders niedrig, der Kanal ist bis zum Fluten des Abschnittes in der Karl-Maria-von-Weber-Straße unterbrochen. Bis dahin erfolgt die Speisung nur durch Oberflächenwasser.
Dass die schließlich 2018/19 gebaute Brücke den Namen »Funkenburgbrücke« erhalten würde, war zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt nicht absehbar.
