Description

Gabrielle Graeter, N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, tapes her rubber boots to her Tyvek suit.

In order to minimize the chance the biologists could spread white-nose syndrome between caves and mines, they each wear two Tyveck suits, rubber gloves, and rubber boots, with the gloves and boots taped to the Tyveck suits. Upon exiting the mine, the suits will be double-bagged and thrown away, while the boots, gloves, helmets, lights, and other equipment will be decontaminated following U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service protocol.
