Summary[edit]

Description
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented. Exhibition of paintings by Salvador Dalí at the museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam, organised by head curator Renhilde Hammacher. The paintings by Dalí arrive in the Netherlands on a plane from Finnair named after Jean Sibelius. Under the close watch of the museum director of the Boijmans van Beuningen the paintings are unloaded and taken to the museum, where they are unpacked. At the exhibition are paintings, a.o. The temptation of St.Anthony, Christ of Saint John of the Cross, Girl standing at the window, The riddle of desire and The face of war, gouaches, drawings and jewellery, a.o. The royal heart, which was designed on the occasion of the coronation of queen Elizabeth II, The falling angel and dolphins and mermaids. Also sculptures by Dalí in a work of art.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd. Tentoonstelling van schilderijen van Salvador Dalí in het museum Boijmans van Beuningen te Rotterdam, georganiseerd door hoofd-conservatrice Renhilde Hammacher. Met het naar Jean Sibelius vernoemde vliegtuig van Finnair arriveren schilderijen van Dalí in Nederland. Onder toeziend oog van de directeur van Boijmans van Beuningen worden ze uitgeladen en naar het museum gebracht, waar ze worden uitgepakt. Op de tentoonstelling hangen schilderijen, oa De verzoeking van de heilige Antonius, Christus van st. Jan van het kruis, Staand meisje aan het raam, Het raadsel van de begeerte en Het gezicht van de oorlog, gouaches, tekeningen en sieraden, oa Het koninklijk hart ontworpen tgv de kroning van koningin Elizabeth II, De vallende engel en dolfijnen en zeemeerminnen. Verder beelden van Dalí in een kunstwerk.
