AVe also had with ns a Creyhound. When, after i'.bout two hours' chasing, this Greylionnd got siglit of the quarry, we witnessed some tall runiung for about two linn- dred yards. Then the old "'Tom"" ran np a shelhbark hickory-tree, and ensconced himself in a body-crotch about forty ft't above the ground. Fron» this perch, Harrison tundded i:im out, dead, with a load of Inickshot fi'oni an old Harper'3 Fei-ry musket which he carried. This "Wildcat was the largest ol the species I ever saw, and Avould have cleaned out, in a fair light, all three of our dogs.
