Man Chester .—Opposite to Richmond, on the southbank of the James, is Manchester, (also a very old settle-ment,) a fiourishing manufacturing citj^ containingabout 10,000 inhabitants. Two bridges for vehicles and foot passengers, and threefor railroad cars, connect it with Richmond. A StreetCar Railway connects Manchester and Richmond by theFree Bridge.
