The Mahasiddha Ghantapa 1600-1700 Tibet Gilded Brass (laiton doré) Bouddhisme tantrique / Vajrayana Victoria and Albert Museum, Londres IM 61-1929

Le maître tantrique Ghantapa, en position d'extase mystique, tient dans sa main droite : le Vajra (foudre-diamant) et dans sa main gauche : le Ghanta (clochette).

"Le Vajra, associé au Ghanta (Sagesse), symbolise le 'moyen' utilisé pour parvenir à l’Éveil. Leur utilisation conjointe, lors de certains gestes canoniques (mudra), représente l'union de ces deux principes complémentaires." (G. Beguin).
