Stilleastward of Pigeon Mountain we find Chick-amauga Hill and Taylors Ridge, drained by themiddle and eastern branches of Chickamaugacreek. Crossing these ranges we come to Chatta-nooga Mountain, the last of the series, beyondwhich the streams all flow in the opposite directiontoward the Gulf of Mexico. East of the wholeseries, and on the southern watershed, stand thetowns of Dalton and Resaca, stations on the rail-road from Chattanooga to Atlanta, where Bragghad his base of supplies.
