These cables are of the paper-insulated type,designed for high voltage, and weresupplied by the British InsulatedCable Company. They are metallicsheathed and are laid underground,mi the slot system, at a depth of 70cm (2.76 ins.) below the surface, asfar toward Ramleh as the SportingClub, where connection is madewith an aerial line. From this pointthe high-tension feeders are carriedto the Bulkeley sub-station upon thecenter poles of the system which areused to carry the trolley brackets; they are mounted upon porcelain insulators, upon cross-armsand pole tops, as shown in (he view of the line and double-deck cars.
