cars. All cars are equipped withthe excellent De Witt sand boxes. An important part of this roads equipment is the snowplow manufactured by the Massachusetts Car Company, of Boston. Gloversville and Johnstown are noted forheavy snow and the electric plough has won the highestcommendation for its work this winter. It is a noseplough, the nose being 3-feet high and concaved, and isprovided with wings; wings not for flying but for makingthe snow fly. CAYADUTTA PARK. The enterprising management last summer, began thedevelopment of a beautiful park on its main line, betweenJohnstown and Fonda. This park covers 25 acres ofwild and picturesque scenery, with a brook babbling andbounding through it. A dancing pavilion, refreshmentstand, band stand and numerous summer houses, rusticseats, beautiful walks, pure cold spring water, are amongthe many attractions. All the companys lines are single track with turnouts.Cars are operated on a schedule exactly similar to thoseof steam railroad instead of under certain regular head-way, as is usual on electric roads.
