The main entrance,on Peachtree street,leads into the marble-iloored main office,which is cabinet finish-ed and equipped withthe usual desk andmanagers office. Herethe visitor will be greet-ed either by ManagerDodge, or clerks D. J.Gracey and Oliver Johnson. Mr. Dodge is a hotel man of many j-earsexperience, both in New York and Chicago, whileMessrs. Gracey and Johnson are the most affable andcourteous of gentlemen, with a large acquaintance amongthe traveling public. At the right of the main entrance is the gentlemenssmoking, reading and writing room looking out onPeachtree street through a French plate-glass front.Here may be found the telephone, telegraph and caboffices. At the left of the main entrance is the ladiesentrance and reception room. The latter is furnished inexquisite taste. Near this room is the elevator shaft, andto the left, the restaurant and cafe. This room is 40 by70 feet, and has connection with private dining rooms

THE ARAGON—IIEADCJUARTER S HOTEL. and the breakfast room. The cafe, a view of which weshow, is fashioned and appointed as nearly as possiblelike the Holland House restaurant, New York. It isdraped with velour and laces and tropical plants adornthe windows. The silver and china is elegant, asbeseems the product of Gorham and Haviland. Theservice is most efficient and the ensemble touches theajsthetic gourmand in several places. While speaking ofthe dining room, it may be well to mention that the tableis provided with every delicacy of the season, and what the region within anights ride of Atlantacannot furnish could belisted in a small space.The sea shore and thesemi-tropics of the Gulf,the warm climate ofmiddle Georgia and themoderate temperatureof the highlands, giveto the epicure all thewealth of water, airand earth in season.Breakfast and an elab-orate luncheon, withdinner from 6 to 8, willbe found a recurringpleasure.
