The switchboard, which is designed for amaximum out-put of 10,000 amperes, is ofwliite California marble, 2 in. thick. It is39 ft. long by 8 ft. high, and is set 5 ft. fromthe wall midway of the length of the engineroom. There are 29 panels, 2 ft. wide; the14 to the right of the center are connected to the generators and those at the left to thefeeder circuits. The center panel is fitted with Westonilluminated dial ammeter and voltmeter, the latter on aswinging bracket and the former connected in the bus barbetween the generators anil feeders. A Thomson recordingwattmeter and a log desk complete this panel. Each gene-rator panel has mounted on its face a Weston illluminateddial ammeter, a Westinghouse circuit breaker, a shunt fieldrheostat, a cut-in voltmeter plug, a triple-pole main switchand a Siemens & Halske carbon shunt field switch, which
