Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Ruston Proctor 306 dates from 1909 and is the oldest surviving steam excavator in the world. Coal was being loaded, the boiler was in steam and various grizzled gents seemed to be having a competition to be wearing the overalls with the most ingrained industrial muck on them.
