Summary[edit]

Description

Trekking 4 days from Ganden Monastery to Samye Monastery.

The first stop along the Ganden to Samye trek, Hebu (sometimes written Hepu) is a small village nestled in this valley below. To reach it, you climb the ridge above Ganden Monastery and follow it along until dropping down to Hebu. The views are spectacular.

Hepu is a place to rest for a bit and if you haven't already, a place to hire a yak. It is very likely that you will be approached (if you haven't already) by someone offering one.
