Description
Ranuccio Farnese, the grandson of Pope Paul III, was 12 years old when Titian painted his portrait. Dressed as a Prior of the Knights of Malta. At the age of 12 he was made Prior of the Church of San Giovanni di Malta in Venice, an important property of the Knights of Malta.
