Summary[edit]
DescriptionTornado at Long Preston - geograph.org.uk - 1807176.jpg |
English: Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado taking on water at Long Preston station during The Cumbrian Coast Tornado tour. With the loss of water towers around the network, steam charters on the main line are now commonly serviced either by stand-pipe or road tankers. Using an overhead bridge as seen here also negates the need for a pump. |
