Permission (Reusing this file) |
Public domain in US (see Commons:When to use the PD-signature tag). Although signatures are not generally PD in the UK and Trenchard was of British nationality, he signed the preface to Winged Words as a Marshal of the Royal Air Force (MRAF). Unlike all other RAF ranks, MRAFs never officially retire and so as Trenchard was acting in connection with his duties as a serviceman when he signed, his work is the property of the Crown. Crown Copyright expires after 50 years and so this signature is also now PD in the UK. |
