Condition: Good.; Part of the collection: Frank H. Boland collection.; Title from accompanying documentation.; "From F.H. Boland, Queanbeyan"--Handwritten in pencil on verso. The first sod for the site of Parliament House, Canberra, was turned on 28 August 1923 by the Hon. P.G. Stewart, Minister for Works and Railways.--Reference: Parliamentary Library historical information web site. Images shows crowds gathered around a steam driven excavator.
