Description In preparation for an underway replenishment (UNREP), the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70), not visible, comes alongside the fast combat support ship USS Sacramento (AOE-1) in the Sea of Japan. The guided missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG-82) sails in the distance. The ships are part of the Carl Vinson Battle Group that was on deployment in the western Pacific Ocean.
