English: Naval Support Activity, Manama, Bahrain (Jul. 4, 2002) -- Vice Admiral Timothy Keating, Commander of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet (COMFIFTHFLT), joins 12 others taking part in the “Let Freedom Ring” ceremony held in Bahrain during the 4th of July ceremony. Thirteen Sailors and Marines assigned to COMFIFTHFLT, Naval Support Activity (NSA), Bahrain, and tenant commands took turns ringing the former USS Valcour’s bell that now hangs at the entrance to the NSA headquarters building. The ceremony is one of many like it that are around the world at 226 years after the original signing of the Declaration of Independence.
