Summary[edit]

Description
English: Newport News, Va. (Jul. 29, 2002) -- U.S. District Judge Daniel Sarno, Jr. (left), commends Aviation Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Cameron Fisher (center), Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Airman Apprentice Eliseo Granado, Jr. (right), and Aviation Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Demetrius Jackson (not pictured) for their efforts in putting out a large fire in the federal building where the Judge Sarno and many others work. Sarno said he immediately took notice of the Sailors and wanted to ensure they were recognized for their heroism. "I saw the uniforms and figured they looked like a [damage control] party or something by the way went in there," he said. "They really looked like they knew what they were doing." For their efforts, the three firefighters were recently awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 2nd Class Chad McNeeley. (RELEASED)
