English: Vladivostok, Russian Federation (Aug. 9, 2002) -- Marine Corporal Luke Moya from New Knoxville, Ohio, and a member of Marine FAST Detachment, Yokosuka, Japan, stands watch aboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) as the sun sets on the Seventh Fleet Flagship's main deck. The Blue Ridge is conducting a port visit to the eastern Russian city. Blue Ridge is scheduled to participate in exercise Ulchi Focus 2002, an annual Republic of Korea and U.S. combined forces government military exercise designed to, evaluate, and improve crisis action measures and procedures for the combined war plans in the defense of the Republic of Korea. It provides an opportunity for commanders and staffs to focus on strategic, and operational, issues associated with general military operations on the Korean peninsula.
