Description
English: Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily (Sept. 19, 2003) -- Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Christopher Bray, an advanced medical laboratory technician for Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit Seven (NEPMU 7), prepares pipette solutions for use with the ruggedized advanced pathogenic identification device (RAPID). The RAPID is a portable device that uses a rapid diagnostic technology called polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to identify biological agents in under 30 minutes.
