English: Aboard USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58) Feb. 2, 2004 – Just as USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58) was in visual range of a 50 ft boat, a large plume of black smoke suddenly appeared on the horizon. The fire was combated with Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF). The crew aboard the 50 ft boat set their boat on fire to destroy contraband. Of the 1.5 tons originally onboard, one half metric ton was recovered and was seized as evidence.
