Description
English: Arabian Sea (July 6, 2004) - Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman Apprentice Patrick Carrington, from Marshall Mich., cleans excess grease from the radar system of a S-3B Viking assigned to the “Diamond Cutters” of Sea Control Squadron Three Zero (VS-30) aboard the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67). Kennedy is one of seven aircraft carriers participating in Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the simultaneous deployment of seven aircraft carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat power across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces. Summer Pulse is the Navy's first deployment under its new Fleet Response Plan (FRP).
