English: Pacific Ocean (Feb. 3, 2005) – Sailors, assigned to IM-2 Division, Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD), install a fan module onto a F414 jet engine aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The F414 engine is used to power F/A-18E/F Super Hornet strike fighter aircraft. Carl Vinson is on a scheduled deployment and will arrive in Norfolk, Va., upon completion of her deployment to prepare her for refueling and a complex overhaul.
