Description
English: Norfolk, Va. (Mar. 24, 2005) - Former Marine Pfc. James R. Skinner points out the name of a fallen Marine he served with during World War II at the Battle of Iwo Jima on the memorial wall unveiled aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). The wall, featured as part of a sunset reception to honor the 60th anniversary of the battle's conclusion, contains the names of nearly 7,000 fallen from the epic Pacific campaign.
