English: Karachi, Pakistan (Oct. 27, 2005) – U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Cleveland (LPD 7) off-load a potable water tank onto the pier in Karachi, Pakistan. The tank was provided by Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Three (NMCB-3), which is forward deployed to Bahrain, and will be used to assist earthquake victims in the northern part of Pakistan. Cleveland delivered 280 tons of supplies to support the multinational relief effort, including 37 pieces of heavy machinery, food donated by France and tents, cots and blankets from Egypt. The United States is participating in a multi-national assistance and support effort led by the Pakistani Government to bring aid to the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the region on October 8th, 2005.
