English: PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 15, 2010) An aircraft director guides an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22 to a catapult on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 are conducting a three-week composite training unit exercise to be followed by a deployment to the western Pacific Ocean.
