| Description |
English: Underground reservoir in News Wood Looking north-east along the woodland track and next to it the moss-covered concrete roof dome of the water reservoir. Looks peaceful, but periodically it causes a stir. The reservoir is fed from Walm's Well just the other side of the track. The reservoir then supplies the Eastnor estate, village and castle. Coca-Cola, who produce the bottled Malvern Water at Colwall Stone is under pressure to produce more and have had their eye on this source. Visitors and locals alike find it hard to believe that many outlets in the Malvern area sell water from far away because they can't get hold of the local stuff. Environmentalists are concerned that if extraction here is increased then this important area for damp-loving flora will decline.
