Summary[edit]

Description
English: every now and then I do some cheesy lyrics all by myself,

hoping to turn these pieces of obscurity into a big hit... fortunately this will not happen with the following vocoder demo as it sounds like crap ;) (mental note to self -- do not record stuff with a notebook microphone input.) but hey, it's always fun to pull a Cylon!

I used the human voice as formant (modulation signal) which gets modulated on a string type sound (carrier) while I play a little melody on the keys of a Nord Lead synth. It should come across that a vocoder doesn't need to sound monotonous, especially when you play chords which adds depth or strike different notes which adds movement to the sound and makes the carrier sing.

Later I switched to a bongo drumloop as modulation source 'cause it sounds nice and I was too lazy to think out any more text. Now we know how Sonic Empire was done ;)

From time to time I punched the unprocessed voice signal to the main mix, because I had trouble to understand my own lyrics as I probably did configure the vocoder in a wrong way :)

After ten minutes listening to my vocoded voices I had a headache enough and decided to put it here rather than drop it in the trashcan. :)
