Object history Der Stier weist auf die traditionelle Viehzucht des Orts, das grüne Feld auf die Bedeutung des Ortsnamens hin. „Hemme“ ist abgeteiltes Weideland, grasbewachsenes Land am Wasser. Der Wellenbalken versinnbildlicht den Oste-Fluss, an dem die ehemalige Gemeinde liegt.
