Wappen der Stadt Bühl (Baden)

Das Wappen der Stadt Bühl hat seinen Ursprung in einem schon 1409 nachzuweisenden Siegel mit der Umschrift "BVHEL APVD WINDECK" (Bühl bei Windeck), auf dem gleich drei gleichmäßige, fensterartige Formen zu sehen sind. Abgeleitet vom mittelhochdeutschen "Buhel" (Hügel), interpretierte die Heraldik (Wappenkunde) die Formen als drei Hügel. Man sieht es heute nur noch den Briefbögen des Oberbürgermeister, des Bürgermeisters, der Ämter

und auf Urkunden.
