Deutsch: Das Wappen weist darauf hin, daß die Fläche der Gemeinde aus Geest und Moor besteht. Das Sensenblatt in Grün erinnert an die Landwirtschaft auf der Geest, der Torfspaten in Schwarz an den Torfstich im Moor und der wellige Strichbalken an die Beeke.
