Description
Deutsch: Wuppertal, Wohnquartier Elberfeld-Mitte, Erholungsstr. 19, Eingang einer Filiale der Restaurant-Kette L'Osteria an der Herzogstraße.

Trotz des italienischen Namens, der nichts weiter als ganz profan "das Gasthaus" bedeutet, und der italienischen Selbstklassifizierung als Ristorante, also "Restaurant", sowie der Tatsache, dass diese Gaststätte sich in Deutschland befindet, ist das Schild, mit dem die Gäste aufgefordert werden, zu warten, bis sie platziert werden, weder deutsch noch italienisch, sondern englisch beschriftet, was vermutlich Weltläufigkeit signalisieren soll, aber nur Zeugnis ablegt, welche Kleingeister in diesem Etablissement das Sagen haben. Die angemessene Reaktion wäre demgemäß, das Schild geflissentlich zu ignorieren.

Im Vordergrund hat eine der für ihre exorbitanten Anschaffungskosten berüchtigten zehn sogenannten Goldenen Bänke zur Möblierung der Elberfelder Fußgängerzone nach weniger als einem Jahr schon ein gerüttelt Maß ihres einstigen Glanzes eingebüßt.
