Description
Deutsch: Rämi-/(Hans) Waldmann-Strasse in Zürich : Der Schalenbrunnen steht an der Stelle des ehemaligen Kartoffelmarktes an der Ecke Rämistrasse/Waldmannstrasse. Geschaffen wurde die Brunnenanlage mit den beiden Frauenfiguren vom Schweizer Bildhauer Eduard Zimmermann im Jahre 1935. Der bekannte Kunsthistoriker Professor Peter Meyer schrieb zu diesem Werk: Die beiden Figuren haben etwas Stilles, Sympathisches, und man ist dankbar dafür, dass das Wasser einmal frei aus einer Schale herabfliessen darf. Beschreibung adaptiert von [1]. Die (sehr kurze und in eine "Sackgasse" mündende) Waldmannstrasse ist nach dem Stadtzürcher Bürgermeister Hans Waldmann benannt.
