Inappropriate deletion request[edit]

This image was derived from File:Adam (Jupiter's Ring) @ Coachella 2008.jpg provided under CC-by-SA-2.0 license on Flickr in jpeg format. There is no reason to delete this image. --Clusternote (talk) 07:26, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Original picture don't have this pisture, so this picture has been cropped from somewhere else--Motopark (talk) 08:51, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You should learn more about derived work before issuing inappropriate deletion request without enough knowledge. The derived work is not only mean the "cropped" version of image, but also includes more complex editing results. For example, the File:Casio CZ-101 upside down.jpg was

  1. first cropped clipped from File:Adam (Jupiter's Ring) @ Coachella 2008.jpg,
  2. then rotated to correct horizontal,
  3. trapezoid translated to change effective viewpoint, and
  4. finally added missing/hidden parts by hand drawing.
  5. (Also sometimes contrast/color are adjusted if these adjustments were essentially required)

I always editing derived images with above procedure, and resulting hundreds of results were all accepted as proper derived work. (Note: I always locally keep editing results in GIMP or SVG format, so I can always show the validness of my derived works)

You should withdraw the deletion request for my derived work. --Clusternote (talk) 11:51, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
