Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Ostbevern, die am 1. Januar 1975 die Rechtsnachfolge des aufgelösten Amtes Ostbevern antrat, beschloss am 27. Januar 1975, das dem damaligen Amt Ostbevern am 21. September 1936 durch den Oberpräsidenten der Provinz Westfalen genehmigte und vorstehend beschriebene Wappen fortzuführen. Der Regierungspräsident in Münster erteilte dazu am 7. April 1975 die Genehmigung.
English: 21 September 1936 granted to the former Amt Ostbevern, and 27 April 1975 to the municipality of Ostbevern, in legal succession after the Amt Ostbevern has been suppressed 1 January 1975.
