Description
Français : Dessin fait pour Charles de Croÿ (Albums de Croÿ): Plan et pourtraict du pont du Cabrughe à Heverle, sur la Dyle (non daté, mais proablement fait dans les années 1590). Cabrughe était un lieu dit se trouvant près du Chateau de Heverlee, près de l'église Saint Lambert (figuré sur une autre illustration du même ouvrage). Le mur crênelé qui ceinture en encorbellement la partie centrale du pont laisse penser qu'il est à la fois conçu (peut-être conçu par l'architecte Pierre Lepoivre pour le passage, péage et la défense de la route. Des barrières en bois interdisent aussi un accès direct et rapide aux ponts levis. Selon le plan original la rivière Dyle était à cet endroit large de 52 pieds environ, 14,8 m. Les maisons seraient donc très petites (poste de garde?), et les ponts levis étroits.
