Manchester bombing memorial postbox

English: Postbox No. M4 127 53°29′0.68″N 2°14′36.39″W / 53.4835222°N 2.2434417°W / 53.4835222; -2.2434417 sited in Corporation Street, Manchester, carries a memorial plaque referencing the 1996 Manchester bombing. The brass plaque carries the inscription "This postbox remained standing almost undamaged on June 15, 1996 when this area was devastated by a bomb. The box was removed during the rebuilding of the city centre and was returned to its original site on November 22nd 1999". The box is a Victorian era pillar box. It is on the west side of Corporation Street, a few yards south of the skybridge that links the upper floors of the Marks & Spencer / Selfridges superstore building on the west side and the Arndale shopping centre on the east side. The box opening faces south down Corporation Street.
