English: Routemaster bus RM871 (reg. WLT 871, ex-NRH 803A) was delivered to London Transport in January 1962 registered WLT 871. It was used in London until final withdrawal in November 1987, and in April 1988 it was sold for further use with East Yorkshire, who re-registered it as NRH 803A in 1991, and then in the Reading Mainline fleet (26), who in 1999 restored it to its original WLT 871 registration. In 2000 it was one of a batch of buses bought back by London Bus Services Ltd, being rebuilt and re-engined (Cummins) by Marshall's of Cambridge, for further use in London. It went into operation on route 23 from January 2001 for First Centrewest out of Westbourne Park garage, before being returned to LBSL in March 2003 (Route 23 stopped using Routemasters altogether on 14 November 2003). After further use with Arriva London it was finally withdrawn in October 2005, while allocated to Brixton garage. After being returned to LBSL, it was selected as one of the few buses to continue in service on the Routemaster Heritage Routes, going into service allocated to East London on London Buses heritage route 15 from November 2005.
